[SSL] Why is my secure site not displaying the padlock icon in the browsers status bar?
The most common cause of this is the referencing of materials outside the secure layer. - Your SSL enabled site will be unable to maintain a level of security needed for the browser to display the padlock icon if any component on the site that is referenced is from outside the secure layer. Best practice is to ensure that all images, referenced documents, and media are all within the same directory as the SSL enabled site.
